The start of the festive 2025 winter season in Vilnius will be announced on November 29 – on that day, we will light up the Christmas tree, which has become a symbol of Christmas for all of Lithuania, will shine in Cathedral Square. EUROVAISTINĖ Christmas run 2025

“Eurovaistinė Christmas Run“ is the oldest running event in Vilnius. The running event that is already a tradition of the Christmas season attracts all the running enthusiasts from Lithuania and abroad to participate in a running celebration – all the runners are dressed in Christmas theme costumes and are enjoying unforgettable moments while running together through the beautifully decorated Vilnius streets. Christmas Gastro Market 2025 at Lukiškės Prison

As in every December, the Lukiškės Prison complex will transform into a true winter wonderland. There will be Christmas trees, holiday decorations, sustainable installations, and much more. The complex’s corridors and unique interior spaces will be filled with the aromas of gingerbread, cardamom, and hot wine.

Screenings of Film Classics in the Cinematheque Hall

The Lithuanian Cinema Association’s classic film screenings present the works of the most famous Lithuanian filmmakers from the film archive that were created between the fifties and the nineties of the 20th century.
In the only non-modernised cinema in Lithuania, films are shown on film projectors installed inside the theatre hall as it used to be in the days of cinema’s origins in the late 19th and early 20th centuries or the time of the travelling cinema until the sixties of the 20th century in our country.
